You can trap, neuter and release ferral cats or keep them!

Spay and neuter, it's the law!

Yes it is true, very true! If you are a cat lover or a feral cat colony care taker. Meaning if you put out cat food for stray cats you are a feral cat colony care taker, and you should consider taking it to the next step. This guy did, and you can read of his adventure on his blog post. I also personally know two ladies who do the same thing for the cats in their area with an exception. They socialize and re-home the cat when ever possible. Many are discarded pets and seem to prefer to return to the indoors.

You can find out more information at the Heave Can Wait Animal Sanctuary. They have meetings / training sessions for neighbor hood activists volunteers to get involved with neutering feral cats. It’s part of their WAR program, War Against Reproduction.

Lilly’s Friends also knows that feral cats can play havoc on local bird populations and other native species. More can be found out about the down side of releasing cats into the wild from the Audubon Society.
